The Youtube Kids team requested Hello Monday/DEPT a 2026 seasonal splash update for the Youtube Kids app loader. Working closely with an illustrator, I animated a series of splash takeovers in Lottie, each capturing a distinct theme through playful motion and expressive storytelling.

Thinking Process
The challenge was to bring the existing YouTube Kids characters to life in a 4 second animation, capturing each theme in an engaging and fun moment.
Creative Process
I worked within a simplified visual system, ensuring the motion remained lightweight and scalable while maintaining clarity. Colors were carefully considered to read well in both dark mode and light mode.
